- 1). Move the On/Stop switch to the "On" position on your leaf blower, and move the choke lever to its "Closed" position.
- 2). Locate the primer bulb, which is usually near or under the carburetor, and press it six times. This will push gasoline into the carburetor.
- 3). Find the throttle lever and move it to its maximum position. Grasp the starter rope and pull it sharply. If the engine doesn't start, pull it sharply again. Keep repeating until the engine starts.
- 4). Move the choke lever to its "Open" position once the engine starts. Adjust your throttle as necessary to achieve the engine speed you need.
