- 1). Remove your Aircast and the protective inner sock at least once a day to let your skin breathe.
- 2). Wipe down the plastic part of the cast, both inside and out, with a sponge soaked in warm, soapy water.
- 3). Rinse the sponge thoroughly to remove any remaining soap suds, and squeeze out excess water. Wipe down the inner and outer surfaces with a sponge and clean water.
- 4). Wash the inner sock of your Aircast every other day. Add it to your laundry and use regular laundry detergent.
- 5). Dry the inner sock either by air, or in a dryer on low setting to ensure that you don't shrink the cotton.
