- 1). Open your Internet browser and go to http://www.in.gov/ai/sub/. This is the official website for criminal record searches in the state of Indiana.
- 2). Pay the appropriate fee for your search; it is around $16 per search for individuals as of April 2010. If you are a school or other government organization, you may be exempt from the fee. Once the fee is paid or your waiver entered, you may proceed with your search.
- 3). Type in the name of the person you are searching for; include the first, middle, and last name, if known.
- 4). Misdemeanor and felony listings will then appear on the screen if they are on record for the person you are searching. Records in the Indiana database date back to the 1930s. Performing the search on the Indiana website produces an official legal criminal record.
