The other day I was looking at some barn shed plans that I had found online.
While I was sitting there, I started to think about all of the sheds I have built for friends, family and clients.
I got to thinking that it really is not that difficult for beginners and DIYers alike to build their own barn sheds - as long as they choose the right barn shed plans.

It all starts with the planning.
So, when choosing the right plans, don't make these mistakes:
- Not having complete plans - it's imperative to plan out a project like a barn shed, from the location and foundation, to the actual structure itself.
This adds to the safety and beauty of the shed.
So make sure the plans you choose come with everything you need to build the darn thing.
Some examples are materials lists, cutting size lists and schematic drawings. - Not having the right tools - this almost goes without saying, but you need the right tools before you get started.
The good thing is that if you do not have some of the larger tools required, you can always rent them from a major home improvement store chain. - Not choosing your site - before getting any shed plans, be sure to plan out where it will sit on your property.
Is it next to a garden? Next to the house? And also be sure to plan out how easily it will be to get things in and out of it based on its location.
