Materials Needed:
- Small collection of pressed flowers, leaves and grasses
- White and colored cardboard suited for cards
- Colored paper
- Transparent glue
- Transparent wrap paper or colorless varnish to cover cards
- Golden foil paper (optional)
- Sheet of adhesive letters for the greetings (optional)
- Sheets of blotting paper or very smooth tissues (if making your own pressed plants)
- Start your own collection of pressed flowers, leaves and grasses by gathering the material on a dry day and after any early morning moisture has dried off.
- Put sprays of small material such as delicate grasses, ferns and flowers between sheets of blotting paper as straight as possible.
- Insert them between the pages of large heavy books.
- Pull off each individual floret from the larger sprays, spread them between newspapers and lay them under the carpet.
- Leave the material undisturbed at least 4 to 6 weeks.
- Choose the paper for your card: white artist's board or any semi-stiff colored cardboard.
(You can also use cereal box cardboard or the shape-holding cardboard from pantyhose packages - covered with bright colored paper.
) - Arrange your flowers on cards to a desired design.
- Use transparent glue to stick the materials in place.
(the less the better) - Let dry.
- Add a golden strip of foil paper on one side of the card.
(optional) - Stuck the adequate adhesive lettering (letters) on your card forming the appropriate message.

- Cover the plants with transparent cling wrap paper or coat with colorless varnish.
