Every year, twice a year, I am glued to Elle.
com's Runway section.
I have been perusing the pictures and designers collections for the past few days and I can't even begin to describe how beautiful the Spring 2011 collections look.
Some are bold and some are beautiful, but the general idea is loose, flowy fabrics, light neutral colors and SNAKE SKIN! I LOVE all of the snake skin.
It's a refreshing twist on animal print and is a great accent piece to lighter fabrics, I feel that snake skin gives those lighter pieces an edge.
ALTUZARRA used snake skin in his collection and it took the collection to a whole other level.
I have just begun to piece together some of my favorite collections and there are a lot more to come, but I thought that my # 1 one post had to be about Alexander Wang's collection.
While looking through the collection my first impression was that there was an Asian influence.
Kimono inspired jackets and dresses...
adore! I also loved the delicate print introduced into the collection in silky separates and dresses that could easily be worked into an existing wardrobe, (seriously this was my first thought...
"ooh that jacket would look amazing with my cream dress..
..
") and then I lost my train of thought...
oops.
I was especially a big fan of the jumpsuits, which were also seen in other designer's collection as well.
I am so excited that jumpsuits are coming back for next spring because I didn't get enough of them this past spring and summer! If you would like to see the whole Alexander Wang Collection check it out here
