I know what you're thinking, what's will speed? Well you heard of willpower, so that's a start. Will speed on the other hand might need an explanation. The power, or the drive to quit smoking, that all comes from deep within. Deep deep down there. The rate at which you do it is something the smoker has to take into account. Your wills speed is attached to the concepts power. They go hand in hand. Your drive and determination are dictated by a certain quality. The rate at which you do this is precisely what I'm talking about here. If you improve one aspect of yourself, the time it takes you to ultimately accomplish this task or feat reflects off of yourself and how productive of a person you are. I hate to break this news because it is being overly judgmental of yourself in a sense.
Let's say you learn another language. You know this language will take you 2 years to get a basic means of understanding of, but you learn in five. The people around you will be proud, but now that you wanted it sooner. What if you learned a foreign language in one year? That would say so much about what kind of person you are, and your friends and family would be thoroughly impressed. That's a confidence booster right there if you ask me.
If you're a hundred pounds overweight, and you lose that weight in a time frame that many would consider unreasonable for you. You'd be a changed person for the rest of your life. And with that new found attitude that weight would stay off. You have to want this, fight for this, almost die for this. Train your tail off until it falls off. Wait, we don't have tails. Hey you know what I mean. I can't stress that enough, train your body, hard. If you were an athlete that just let yourself go, because you didn't have the time because work, school, kids, or whatever, remind yourself of that time when you were one. Now go back, and say "I'm eventually going to get back to the way I was then, then surpass myself".
I guess all of this I'm saying comes down to attitude now that I think about it myself. Do you want to change yourself a little bit here and there, or do you want to be reborn. Some people have near death experiences, and then appreciate life so much, they automatically feel this way and change a lot about themselves. This attitude is all good for yourself and the ones around you. The ones you care about most. You probably don't even realize how deeply you impact their lives. But you could radiate complete, absolute positive energy, and the people around you will be charged by this energy just being in your presence because they know your aiming high now, and will find change soon enough. Wow, that's a beautiful thing, huh?
