- 1). Learn the Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and become advanced in your skills and abilities. Complete the EFT training that you need in order to start your business.
- 2). Create a business plan, which helps clarify organization and strategy for your business. Include sections such as vision, market analysis, competitor analysis, financial information and marketing.
- 3). Set up a bookkeeping system and follow all tax laws that are relevant to your business. Become aware of and follow, any local and state regulations and laws that pertain to your EFT business. Check with the local business office in the city or county in which you live to register your EFT business.
- 4). Set up your office, whether that is in your home or at another location. Purchase all of the equipment you need, including a computer, printer, telephone, desk, chair and office supplies. Buy any other materials that you need to run your business.
- 5). Arrange to have your phone and Internet services connected. If needed, set up a post office box for your mail, especially if your office is in your home and you do not want to use your home address as your business mailing address.
- 6). Decide whether you want to have in-person or telephone clients, or a combination of both. If you have in-person clients, set up an area of your office for meeting with them.
- 7). Build your EFT business website, or hire someone to do this for you. Create your other marketing publications, including business cards, brochures, flyers and other materials, based upon the needs of your business.
- 8). Find clients by marketing your business. Use social media accounts with websites like Facebook and Twitter to establish contact with potential clients. Until you have a client base, consider providing prospective clients with a free reduced session so they can try out your service before paying you for a session. Also consider holding tele-classes or webinars and sending free newsletters to prospective clients.
