Hung follows the life of Ray Drecker, a high-school basketball coach and history teacher in suburban Detroit, who uses his God-given endowment to become a male prostitute in order to pay his bills after his house is burned nearly to the ground. With the help of his friend/pimp/former one-night stand Tanya, Ray services female clients while trying to get back on his feet to rebuild his house and regain custody of his teenage kids.

History:
Hung debuted in 2009 after a mildly titillating but surprisingly controversy-free ad campaign to mostly positive reviews and strong ratings for HBO, where it was paired with veteran dramedy Entourage. Although the acclaim continued, the ratings declined, and HBO canceled the show after its third season.
