- 1). Go to Oprah.com and click the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the page. Under the "Oprah Winfrey Show" select "Send us your show suggestions."
- 2). Read the submission agreement to see if you are comfortable with all submission rules. For example, the agreement mentions that your submission can be used by Harpo Productions for programming other than "Oprah" and that nothing you submit will be kept confidential.
- 3). Enter your personal and contact information on the form. You must be at least 21 years old to submit an idea.
- 4). Type your show topic idea using word processing software such as Microsoft Word. The idea cannot exceed 2000 characters and you can use the software to count how many characters you have entered. This is useful so you won't have to spend time writing too much and then have to go back and shorten your topic.
- 5). Copy your idea from the word processor and paste it into the box titled "Your Message" on the "Show Suggestions" form.
- 6). Review your information and topic idea. Make sure the email address you entered is workable so representatives from the show can contact you if they want to use your idea. Click "Submit" to enter your show topic idea.
