Hotel in Ahmedabad India is into developing new ideas to have further popularity and fame to its name as of now it has been observed that owners of ancestral heritage properties have been initiating new ideas for their hotels for better promotion. Founder and CEO, Palace of India-Camps of India, Mr. Ranjit Sinh Parmar said with regard to this, "Tourism in Gujarat needs an integrated approach; currently only the stakeholders, the tourism industry, is benefiting from the promotion blitz. By integrated approach we mean the entire tourism industry, which includesheritage hotels, giving incentives and the whole gamut of things. Most importantly, we need a heritage tourism policy, which is absent for nearly 8 years."
However, Princess Aaliya said with regard to this, "We haven't had a government representative in our meeting for long, which shows their negligence towards us. We have been on our own, promoting our properties and surrounding environment through brochures, campaigns, local advertisements and internet, using our own money. If the government could provide us with soft loans and also promote our properties in their videos, things could change."
On the other hand, secretary of Heritage Hotels Association, Mr. Kumar Harendrapal Sinh Poshina said, "Government representatives have come for their meetings only 4 times. Six years ago, Abhay Mangaldas, Mandhata Sinh of Rajkot and Rakesh Mathur, president of Welcome Heritage, had given a draft of the heritage policies including those of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh to the government. To date that file has been gathering dust. All that Gujarat is currently doing is aping the West."
Regarding hike of price in hotels across India, Mr. Rajiv Malhotra, Head - Marketing, South East Asia, Hotels.com said, "The depreciating value of the rupee against most of the other currencies could be a key reason for the upswing in domestic travel. This has also resulted in hotel room rates rising at popular destinations like Jaipur, Goa and Manali as per the current HPI report. Cities like New Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai also show a hike in room rates because they are preferred halt destinations for travellers as they are business and cultural hubs. They are also well-connected to other tourist destinations."
However, it is now time to wait and see further prospects of Indian hotels while keeping its fundamental development with regards to core part of Indian tourism.
