Acuvue Advance Lenses: An Overview

Acuvue Advance with Hydraclear are weekly disposable contact lenses made by Johnson & Johnson's subsidiary, Vistakon. Designed with performance in mind, these contacts can be worn for a full week before being disposed of.

The patented HYDRACLEAR technology actually blends a unique, moisture-rich wetting agent with a high-performance silicon hydrogel material to form a lens that feels silky and soft all day long.

Due to the technology, you can enjoy the satiny, soft feeling of fresh clean lenses every day. Galyfilcon A, the substance behind HYDRACLEAR technology, is a remarkably moisture rich substance that coats the interior and exterior of the contact lens giving it a luscious, smooth feel.

Acuvue Advance: The Hydraclear

This technology is viewed as the third installment of vision enhancement. First came along Hydrogel which was a hydrophilic substance allowing oxygen through to the eyes. A superior material followed simply known as Silicon Hydrogel which allowed even more oxygen through, giving wearers a new experience in comfort.

Acuvue Advance contains Hydraclear which, you guessed it - allows even more oxygen through giving unprecedented weightlessness, moisture and comfort.

It achieves this by adding another element to the mix - not only is the technology infused into the lens itself stopping moisture depletion and giving long lasting eye comfort, but it actually mimics the tears your eyes naturally produce to coat them giving low friction which gives you that "I can't feel I am wearing lenses" sensation.

The lenses themsleves are designed with the natural contours of the eye in mind so they fit perfectly acting like a remote extension of your eye's natural inclinations.

Acuvue Advance are also classified as a Class 1 UV blocking lens which means it shields the eyes from 93% of UVA and 99% UVB radiation.

Of course, this is not a substitute for other prudent sun protection methods but it certainly is complimentary.

Acuvue Advance contacts are ideal for every day wear for anyone that enjoys crystal clear vision, convenience and durability. With 97% of available oxygen permeable to the eye, these lenses ensure your eyes remain healthy and feeling good for the full two weeks you can wear them.

Further, in the interest of preserving the health of the eyes, these contacts have a visibility tint with UV blocker (class 1 UVA and UVB) for daily wear.

With a slight tint for ease of finding in a solution and an "inside-out" mark for ease of insertion, handling is also quite easy.

They are backed by a 90-day, satisfaction guarantee from Johnson & Johnson.
