Don't end up with a tunnel your locomotive is too big to get through! Consider the era your train set is from when putting in the buildings.
You don't want your diesel locomotive passing by an old western town! Your building and scenery should match up with the period of time the trains cars are from.
Putting together your HO electric train layout is easier than you might think.
Styrofoam blocks (like those that come in packages that are shipped) will come in handy for this project.
Small wood blocks also work excellent for hills and mountains.
After attaching the wooden blocks or/and Styrofoam, simply form some wire screen over them using a mixture of celluclay II (papier mache).
Apply a thin layer to the screen making sure the mixture is pliable.
Some people like to add a decorative moss to their mountains.
It can be purchased at any craft store.
You can have as much fun with this process as you want.
Your the boss, make it however you want! Now it's time to add some paint.
