Head Case is a semi-improvised comedy about Hollywood therapist Dr. Elizabeth Goode, who treats actual celebrities (guest-starring as themselves) in each episode. In between giving horrible advice to her clueless patients, she navigates a tough love life and deals with her equally neurotic co-workers.

History:

Head Case premiered in 2007 in a 15-minute-per-episode format as interstitial programming on Starz, and later expanded to half-hour episodes. It was the network’s first original series, paving the way for further original comedies and dramas. After the third season ended in 2009, Starz declined to order more episodes.
