What Green programs is Delta a part of?
Delta Faucet Company is committed to several sustainability initiatives. As a WaterSense® partner, Delta Faucet Company works with the EPA to offer WaterSense labeled products that operate at 1.5 gpm at 60 psi, which is approximately 30% more water-efficient than a standard 2.2 gpm lavatory at 60 psi, while meeting or exceeding the performance of typical faucets. Their products are designed to offer maximum Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) points as standardized by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and as applied by the Canadian Green Building Council (CaGBC). Delta products help builders meet Model Green Home Building Guidelines established by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). And Delta is a participant in the Environments For Living Certified Green® program initiative of Masco Home Services, Inc., which combines features for enhanced homeowner and environmental benefits with the energy and building science platform of the original Environments For Living program platform.
How do they do it?
They have smart features, found across their product line, that help to improve the lives of more and more people every day.
Kitchen Solutions
A toggle on a Multi-Flow„ wand increases the stream from the standard 1.5GPM to a higher flow to more quickly fill the sink as well as pots, vases, or other large containers.
Touch Clean
Only Delta faucets are equipped with Touch-Clean soft, rubber nubbins that allow you to easily wipe away calcium and lime build-up with the touch of a finger.
Water Efficient Products
Water-efficient faucets help conserve water by providing a lower flow rate. Most of the lower-flow faucets by Delta® deliver water at 1.5 gpm as compared to the industry standard of 2.2 gpm, which result in a water savings of up to 32%.
Anti-Tarnish Finishes
Brilliance® finishes, designed to not corrode, tarnish or discolor for a new look for life, are developed by embedding molecules deep into the faucet's surface, creating a bond that is virtually indestructible. Brilliance resists abrasions and discoloration better than traditional finishes and, in most cases, better than chrome.
From the beginning, Delta has sought out innovative solutions to help people use water better.
