F-150 Limited Trucks

Ford is adding a new luxury pickup truck to the F-150 configurations available for 2013. Tagged the Limited, the truck has some of the same features available on other 2013 F-150s, plus a significant number of extras as standard equipment.

F-150 Limited Exterior

All F-150 Limited pickup trucks are SuperCrews -- trucks with spacious seating in the front and the rear, and full-size forward opening doors for both positions.

Three colors are planned: Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Tuxedo Black Metallic and White Platinum Metallic Tri-Coat. Front and rear bumpers match the truck's body color, and the monochromatic look continues with body-colored front valance, side mirror caps, wheel-lip molding, upper fascia and grille surround.
You'll see 22-inch polished aluminum wheels and center caps on the 2013 F-150 Limited, and high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps that produce two and a half more light than halogen lamps. The pickup's PowerFold side mirrors have heated glass.

The truck's three-bar grille sports jewel-like chrome highlights, and so do the tie-down hooks in the bed, the exhaust tip and the tow hooks on 4x4 pickups. A 'LIMITED' logo on the side of the box helps identify the luxury model. Sport-tuned dampers are fitted on the front and rear of the Limited truck.

Limited's Power

Ford powered the F-150 Limited with its 3.5-liter EcoBoost® engine:

• 365 horsepower at 5,000 rpm (running regular fuel)
• Rated at 22 mpg on the highway for 4x2 trucks (twin independent variable camshaft timing helps improve fuel economy)

• 420 lb.-ft. of torque at 2,500 rpm (up to 90 percent of peak available from 1,700 rpm to 5,000 rpm)

F-150 Limited is equipped with an electronic six-speed automatic transmission with tow/haul mode, trailer tow package, trailer brake controller, Reverse Sensing System, power-deployable running boards and a 110-volt power inverter.

Inside the F-150 Limited Truck

Limited's red and black leather-trimmed seats are heated and cooled, with memory controls that remember seating preferences for two drivers. Rear seats are heated, too.
The truck's piano-black center panel and console are outlined with aluminum, and ambient lighting controls include five accent colors.

A moonroof is standard equipment on the Limited, and the truck's tinted power-sliding rear window includes a defrost function. The view from Limited's rear camera and the truck's voice-activated navigation system are displayed on an 8-inch LCD screen.

Gauges are unique for Limited trucks, and its 4.2" productivity screen can be customized to monitor several systems. A new media hub has USB ports, an SD-card reader and RCA video input jacks. An upscale Sony audio system is standard, and so is MyFord Touch® powered by SYNC®. Controls on the center stack are easy to use, even when wearing heavy work gloves.

Most connectivity features are available on other F-150 trucks as either standard or optional equipment.

Ford has developed a loyal following in the luxury truck market with its Harley-Davidson and King Ranch branded models, along with the Platinum edition pickup introduced in 2009. The automaker says that more than 30-percent of its F-150 sales are for trucks with MSRPs that range from about $35,000 to $50,000 (there's no word yet on pricing for the Limited truck).

Ford F-150 Limited trucks will be available sometime during the fall of 2012.
