- 1). Sign up with SoundCloud. Once you've registered, you'll be able to use SoundCloud to upload your own MP3 files, and then post them to Tumblr. SoundCloud also provides a wave length visualization whenever someone decides to click "Play" on your MP3 file. As of June 2011, SoundCloud is free to use.
- 2). Register with Blip.fm. After registering, you'll be able to search out various artists and songs that you want to listen to, then "blip" them -- which means you post the song along with a message 150 characters long (or shorter). You can share these blips on your Tumblr account, effectively allowing you to post as many songs as you want a day.
- 3). Sign up with Playlist.com and build your own playlist of songs. Playlist.com hosts a variety of MP3 files that you'll be able to link to and share on your Tumblr blog. Unfortunately, Playlist.com is only available in the United States as of June 2011, though you can submit your email address and Playlist.com will email you when it becomes available in your country.
