Carnival
The staff and crew were wonderful... Everyone must be well trained in customer service as everone down to the toilet cleaners have a smile and a warm hello... The first day at sea we encountered really rough seas.. to the point that the "bags" were on every wall for those getting sea sick... We stayed active so as to not notice but there were a few folks that we spoke to that did get sick...
The Captain extended our stay in Playa del Carmen by 4 hours.. they said as a "bonus"... I suspect that the seas were still rough and he wanted to limit the amount of sailing time.. whatever the reason it was a good touch and well recevied..

There are more expensive cruises you can take and we have taken some.. I think dollar for dollar that Carnival is the best value... They do push the shopping aspect of the trip... both on board and on shore along with their "partners" at each port.. It is a business after all and they do need to make money but all you have to do is ignore the suggestions and go off on your own... Then again if you do want to shop... and God knows there are plenty out there.. it does help to have knowledge of the ports so you are not roaming around looking for whatever it is that you are looking for... enough said on shopping...lol... Carnival... WE WILL BE BACK!!!!
