Use of Bridges & Dentures in Dentistry.

You natural teeth are the best, and dentists at any dental clinic would do all they can to make sure you keep your natural teeth. But due to our unhealthy habits or some disease, some of the teeth may get badly damaged or lost. Here comes the use of bridges and dentures, a boon in dentistry or cosmetic dentistry. Bridges and dentures help to restore a badly damaged tooth or replace a lost tooth.

Bridges: A bridge can replace the missing teeth. The bridge is adjusted by healthy teeth on each side of the missing one, and is held firmly in place. The bridges are permanent, so do not think to take them out. This can prevent your remaining teeth from drifting out of line and also preventing other problems. You need to take proper care of your dental bridge so that it can stay for about 10 years. Go to you dental clinic, where your dentist will show you how to use a floss threader to floss under and around the false tooth in the middle of the bridge.

Dentures: These are false teeth for replacing the lost teeth. Recent advancements in dentistry has led to creation of dentures that are more natural looking and comfortable.
There are two types of dentures in dentistry: partial and full dentures. A partial denture is removable, and is made up of one or more false teeth, and held in place by clasps that fit onto nearby teeth. These dentures can be taken out easily for cleaning or at night. You can use a partial denture if the nearby teeth are not strong enough to hold a bridge, or when a few teeth are missing. A full denture is a complete denture or false teeth, and is used if all your natural teeth are missing. They need same care as you would do for your natural teeth.
You need to be careful when wearing dentures as they can make it harder for you to feel hot foods and liquids.

Summary: You natural teeth are the best, and dentists at any dental clinic would do all they can to make sure you keep your natural teeth. But due to our unhealthy habits or some disease, some of the teeth may get badly damaged or lost. Here comes the use of bridges and dentures, a boon in dentistry or cosmetic dentistry.
