- 1). Fill a small bowl halfway full with white vinegar. Add 3 to 4 tsp. of cream of tarter to the bowl and mix until dissolved.
- 2). Dip the abrasive side of your sponge into the mixture until it is well saturated. Scrub the stained area of the aluminum using a rapid circular motion.
- 3). Continue scrubbing until the stains begin to disappear and the underlying aluminum begins to shine through.
- 4). Rinse the aluminum under a cool running faucet or with a garden hose.
- 5). Dry the aluminum completely with a soft towel. Avoid future stains by cleaning the aluminum monthly.
