Definition:
Open pike position is characterized by the diver performing a dive in pike position - the knees straight and the body bent at the waist, but the hands do not touch the toes.
This position is used in voluntary dives or during the final phase of the dive, the come out, where the diver moves from a tuck or pike position to the line up position.
