With the crazy bugs that are floating around in the air these days one never knows what they will catch.
I for one like to be safe and if something appears to help the situation then I am all for trying it further.
One such tid-bit of information that has recently come my way is in regards to preparing for the dreaded flu that has so ruthlessly attacked the world.
I am tired of picking up the newspaper and seeing where another person had died as a result of the H1N1 flu and wondered what natural products would work towards fighting this problem and tend to build up ones immune system.
I have always been a firm believer that natural was better in the first place.
I wanted to ensure that my 11 year old grandson got through the crisis without catching any strange diseases.
Since in many cases the current bugs are becoming immune to the usual pills and drugs so actively used in their demise I decided to try the following items.
I now give my grandson 1 teaspoon of elderberry syrup or as it may be known as "Sambucus" prior to him going to bed for the evening.
I also give him two chewable gel capsules known as "Nordic Naturals", one chewable "Florabear" brand pro-biotic immune boosting supplement, a single squirt of "Anti-V" which is an anti-viral product that boasts his immune system and top it off with a chewable vitamin C tablet.
This regiment of vitamins and immune boasters should subdue any sort of flu potential that comes his way; in addition it acts as a great bronchial remedy.
In his case he is old enough to also take the Omega-3 tablets, the Vitamin C and to drink the Anti-oxidant Green tea.
An interesting note, some further knowledge that I recently picked up is that Cranberry juice will kill streptococcus, so with that in mind I intend to add a small glass of this product to his morning regiment as well.
An important point that you should keep clearly in mind is that too much cranberry juice has been known to cause yeast infection due to the high sugar content that gets build-up in the body so it should be countered with a serving of yogurt daily.
Yogurt is a natural way to treat any sort of yeast infection.
Hopefully this will boost my grandson's immune system to the point that it will allow him to avoid any major diseases and effects from the flu that seem to be going around these days.
