Simple Ways to Improve Vision for Good

The eye is the organ of sight.
It adds beauty to the body and also acts as light to the whole body.
It is so important that one should be always concerned about ways to improve vision.
If the eye is unable to do its work, it will be very difficult for individuals to accomplish set goals.
It is very important to know the causes of blurred vision and find out possible ways to prevent the problem.
Blurriness comes gradually.
If you are not very careful and observant with the changes, it may surprise you on a certain day when you find out that you cannot see well again.
Do not be negligent.
The following procedures can help you maintain your sight.
Old age is the major cause of blurred vision.
Blurriness occurs when there is macular degeneration.
To make sure this does not happen early, you are advised to take multivitamins every day.
Take half tablet in the morning and the remaining half at night.
The multivitamin should contain vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and folic acid.
Omega-3 fatty acid is also good for the eye.
Other factors that lead to macular degeneration include high LDL cholesterol, high triglycerides, overweight and high blood pressure.
As a result, it is necessary to reduce the consumption of foods that are high in bad cholesterol and increase daily exercise to check overweight and high blood pressure.
Natural foods should be taken instead of the processed ones.
Foods such as nuts, whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables are examples of cheap items that can prevent eye problems.
Nuts are good because they contain elements such as calcium and zinc.
Other foods that help to prevent cloudy sight include proteins, cucumber, pear and foods rich in vitamin C.
Taking foods rich in vitamin A helps the eyes and reduces night blindness.
However, be sure you actually need the vitamin because excess consumption can be toxic.
Examples of vitamin A foods include carrots, liver, sweet potatoes, butter, eggs, spinach, apricots and peas.
Avoid all kinds of smoke.
Smokers and those who inhale second hand smoke increase their chances of having blurred vision later in life.
The smoke from cigarette contains more than 4,000 toxic substances such as formaldehyde, carbon monoxide, heavy metals and aromatic hydrocarbons.
Smoke from cigarette causes cataracts, macular degeneration, double or cloudy vision, stress, blurring, eye strain and other eye defects.
You can also exercise your eyes to improve your sight.
An example of such an exercise is the 20/20/20 exercise.
Every 20 minutes, focus your sight on an object for 20 seconds and let the object be placed 20 feet from you.
You can also place your thumb 5 inches from your eye and look at it for 5 seconds before looking at a farther object.
This one should be done for at least ten times before relaxing.
Other ways to improve vision include moisturizing, resting and reducing the brightness of your TV and computer screens.
Lack of moisture causes redness, pain and discomfort.
Blinking and washing helps to retain moisture in the eye.
