- 1). Acquire a minimum of 1,200 hours of total documented flight time and gain another 1,200 hours of fixed-wing turboprop experience before applying to Delta. These are critical requirements for gaining an interview and ultimately joining the Delta team.
- 2). Gather your paperwork and make photocopies for your records. Submit copies of your proof of education, proof of flight hours and a current passport to Delta. You also will have to submit a copy of your FAA commercial fixed-wing pilot license with an instrument rating and a current FAA first class medical certificate.
- 3). Visit airlineapps.com and create your account. Submit all required information via email and via postal mail for documents that require paper copies. Notify your references that Delta may contact them. Delta will conduct medical exams, and you will need to complete interviews and additional testing before you can be hired.
