- Local Irish pubs and taverns provide Irish food and drink to festival-goers. Corn beef sandwiches, Shepherd's pie and Irish potatoes are among the dishes available to try.
- At the festival, you can watch the parade of pipe and drum bands, sit or dance in the music tent as Irish bands play, watch Irish dancers perform or take an Irish dancing lesson.
- For those interested in sports, the festival hosts boxing, a golf tournament and a 5K run. The golf tournament is usually held on the Thursday morning before Irish Weekend, and entrants must sign up as there is limited space. The fee for the tournament covers food, drinks, cart, cap and golf fees. The boxing match is also held on Thursday, but in the evening. Tickets are sold in advance or at the door, and are held at the music tent of the festival. The 5K run is conducted on Saturday morning.
- Vendors of Irish goods, crafts and trinkets visit the fare and set up their booths throughout the weekend. You can browse or purchase Irish cultural and festival items, such as green clothes with sayings like "Kiss me, I'm Irish," large green hats with clovers, Celtic themed jewelry and knick-knacks, and Irish wool products like scarves, sweaters and blankets.
