Definition:
A goal scored within a few feet of the net, usually by a player who waits in that area for a loose puck or rebound. So named because of the scorer doesn't have to make a fancy play or carry the puck. He's simply "picking up the garbage" in front of the net. The label also suggests little apparent skill or aesthetic quality.
